(9) It's been so long!

Sorry for my absence, March and April I came home from uni and left all my polishes up in Newcastle! And then April - June at university is crazy work wise, essays, revision, exams etc!! But I am home from uni now so should be blogging hopefully :)

This was inspired (yet again) by cute polish!! I cannot believe how I never used to tidy up my nails before taking a picture of them, I always get too excited and want a picture as soon as they're finished!

(8) Cupcakes!

These were some cupcake nails I did on a friend of mine, they're quite funny because she has those thumbs that look like toes :'). I used a tutorial from youtube, and added a rhinestone to the middle finger ! :)

(7) Pacman

***Excuse the claw hands***

Here is a pacman design I saw on youtube, I thought it was really cute and had just bought 50 sticks of Fimo from ebay so wanted to play with some of the fruit limos I'd purchased, so I gave it a go!!
This was at the end of summer 2012, it seems like a world away!

(6) A Medley Of Designs!

Here is my attempt at minion nails! Minions are so cute and funny, they make me smile, and these little things made everyone at work smile when I had them on, I did this when I first watched Despicable Me so I think it would have been in 2012!!

And this is a (really messy) attempt at painting spongebob on my nails!! I think he's quite sweet, I didn't bother putting this on my instagram page (@ernails) because it is quite messy and yeah, I'm trying to put only my best nail arts up on that, but the blog is gonna be for everything and anything! :)

And then we had the Queen's Jubilee also in 2012, so I thought I'd celebrate by painting a mini Lizzie on my hand! Again these are super messy but really cute!

(5) Grrr (again)

Ok so this was my first attempt at leopard print, for a first go I think I did pretty well, if I was to do it again I think I'd do the spots slightly smaller. I'd just got a mini brush and dotting tool set for Christmas 2011 and was very excited about the whole ordeal :D

(4) Grrr

I'm really annoyed I didn't take a picture of these after tidying up, I don't even know why I didn't do it, I tend to get quite excited once I've painted my nails and take a picture straight away....

(3) ... Can you see a theme here?

My third attempt at nail art was inspired by Cutepolish on YouTube (as probably the majority of the nails I've ever done are, she's one of the main reasons I fell in love with nail art). It was the paint splatter tutorial and here it is:
I actually think I did quite well on this one, but it was before I realised not to paint all the way down to the cuticles. Again, this was 3 years ago so I probably should have improved a lot but I'm not sure if I have or not really...

(2) My second nail art

I played around with rubbing alcohol and newspaper, but words weren't interesting enough, so I found the Wallace and Gromit comic in a newspaper I am embarrassed to say I had access to and had a go with that. Again October 2011 around my eighteenth birthday (I feel so old), and the reason only my thumb is showing? I didn't wait for the base to dry before doing the newspaper-y bit and thus all my other fingers were a mess of tacky polish and fluffed up Gromit's face, not a pretty sight.

(1) My first attempt at nail art.

This is my first ever nail art. It was in October 2011. I didn't clean up the edges (As you'll get to know I tend to forget to do that). My polishes were awful and my nails in bad condition but it didn't stop me from getting addicted to all things polish.
